Welcome to Morningside

Located in the Upper East Side neighborhood (known to locals as the MiMo District), Morningside is a single-family home community positioned just north of Downtown Miami and situated east of Biscayne Boulevard, spanning from northeast 50th terrace to north east 62nd street.

Coined as Miami’s first historic district, incorporated in 1984 and registered in the National Register of Historic Places in 1992, Morningside is one of the few neighborhoods in Miami-Dade County whose architecture is still preserved. A time capsule, dawning back to the who’s who of interior designer savants (featuring works from more than 40 renowned architects across the country), the properties inside this plush enclave reflect a Mediterranean Revival aesthetic that speaks to the romantic character of Miami’s beginnings.

From the architecture firm, Kiehnel and Elliot, who first introduced Mediterranean Revival homes to South Florida to Marion Manley (South Florida’s first female architect) who designed a property on north east 56th street, Morningside is a whimsical wonderland of design representing the best of the best in Miami architecture.

One of three residential communities included in the Upper East Side area, in addition to Bay Pointe and Belle Meade, Morningside is a beautiful neighborhood to invest in the real estate market, with rolling Oak Trees and vernacular style Old Florida homes.

Originally founded in the 1920s as “Bay Shore,” this then architecturally ambitious area became an oasis of private residential estates redolent with Mediterranean and Art Deco elements, which followed the growth of Miami’s 1930s and 1940s design trends. Morningside also features several Masonry Vernacular high-style buildings and Tudor Revival estates, which add to the city’s diverse exoskeleton.
