Welcome to The Roads

Set against spectacular views, The Roads is one of South Florida’s most premier residential communities. A triangular area situated south of SW 11th Street, between SW 12th Avenue and SW 15th Road, just west of Brickell, The Roads is centrally positioned. Neighboring communities include but are not limited to Downtown Miami, Coral Gables, Coconut Grove, and South Miami.

Private and commercial transportation hubs are located in proximity with Miami International Airport, Virgin MiamiCentral and Port of Miami minutes away. A child-friendly community, The Roads is surrounded by a profusion of renowned public and private schools, some of which are the top ranked institutions in the state.

Known for its historic old homes and wide tree-lined streets, this residential neighborhood offers buyers a diverse range of properties that vary substantially depending on size, location, and structure. From palatial estates and grand manors to charming townhouses and modern condominiums, this sophisticated community has something for every type of buyer, with prices varying from under $400,000 to $1 million plus.

For those looking to invest in the lap of luxury, The Roads also features a plethora of expansive homes with new construction amenities, gourmet kitchens with built-in breakfast areas, and outdoor rooms that are ideal for entertaining with family and friends. Outdoor elements found throughout include tranquil swimming pools, fully equipped summer kitchens, and state-of-the-art spas.

An oasis with plenty of privacy, The Roads is a jewel box of real estate options with sought-after five-star restaurants, unconventional shopping malls, and unique family-friendly attractions nearby. Located minutes from Downtown Miami and Brickell, residents can indulge in an abundance of world-class restaurants. New-concept eateries include Fooq’s, Zuma, Novikov Miami, Boulud Sud, Il Gabbiano, La Mar, Cipprianis, Fi’lia, Katsuya Brickell, and La Petite Maison.

Open-air shopping malls such as Brickell City Centre, Mary Brickell Village, and Miami WorldCenter comprise internationally acclaimed storefronts offering everything from couture designer boutiques to locally curated shops. Museum Park, home to Perez Art Museum Miami and Phillip and Patricia Frost Museum of Science, presents top-tier exhibits that are family-oriented and perfect for a rainy day. One of the most distinguished destinations for art, culture, and entertainment, Downtown Miami showcases an impressive repertoire of museums with spectacular installations.

A labor of love, The Roads was originally known as Brickell Hammock and was designed and developed by Mary Brickell in January 1922. Initially blueprinted as a pedestrian-friendly community with palm-tree shaded streets, median parkways, roundabouts, and native balmy tropical flora, The Roads was bound to become one of Miami’s most sought-after neighborhoods, even in its early days. Soon after its inception, Mary Brickell presented the streets, parkways, sidewalks, and electric lighting to the City of Miami, where it was then sold on February 1, 1923.

Meant to provide luxury affordable living to Miami residents, The Roads quickly transformed into a prestigious community with esteemed single-family homes, mansions, and condominiums. The Roads are located off the normal Miami street grid. Each street positioned in the neighborhood is named a road rather than a street or avenue. Historic parks nearby include Simpson Park Hammock, Alice Wainwright Park, and Vizcaya Museum and Gardens.
